Reading striker Andy Carroll has fired a shot at his former boss Steve Bruce, claiming his side were 'guaranteed three points' against West Brom on Saturday before the Baggies axed their manager.
The West Midlands club sacked Bruce on Monday after falling to 22nd in the Championship, following a run of one win and eight draws from 13 matches.
Carroll, who was ready for a reunion with the Manchester United legend having worked with him at West Brom and Newcastle, admitted it was 'sad' to see Bruce sacked ahead of a 'guaranteed' win.
