Amorim excited by Old Trafford plans

Ruben Amorim says he feels honoured to lead Manchester United's journey into a new era which could encompass a revamped training ground and a world-class stadium.

Our new head coach is the first permanent appointment in his position since Sir Jim Ratcliffe completed his investment into the club, which kickstarted talk of a regenerated stadium district.

In June, a £50m project to modernise the club's Carrington training base was also announced, while supporters have recently been feeding back to a fan consultation programme around the options for the future of Old Trafford.

Within his first full-length interview – which is available to MUTV subscribers now – Amorim said that the first team was 'the engine' that can drive this period of forward momentum.
