It was confirmed on Thursday that our Ivorian no.16 has put pen to paper on fresh terms, as a reward for his excellent performances over the last 12 months.
Since breaking into the first-team set-up following a couple of educational loans at Rangers and Sunderland, Amad has become a real fans’ favourite. This is largely due to his relentless work ethic, willingness to play anywhere and, above all, his uncanny ability to score big goals against historic rivals.
Of course, supporters loved his extra-time winner against Liverpool in last season’s Emirates FA Cup quarter-final and, more recently, a sensational decisive strike at Manchester City in the Premier League.
