All the angles: O'Shea's Anfield winner

John O'Shea made his Manchester United debut on 13 October 1999 in a League Cup third-round tie at Aston Villa.

Although the much-changed Reds lost 3-0 on that occasion, it marked the start of a fine career for the Irishman, who played 393 times for the club.

The 35-year-old joined Sunderland five years ago but is still fondly remembered at Old Trafford, particularly for his dramatic winning goal for 10-man United at Liverpool in 2007, although his nutmeg on Real Madrid's Luis Figo in 2003, glorious chip at Arsenal two years later and goalkeeping stint at Tottenham also leap to mind as other memorable highlights.
