Vincent Kompany makes dying fan's dreams come true as Manchester City captain responds to emotional appeal to visit 74-year-old supporter at home

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany made a dying fan's wishes come true by visiting his Chester home and spending time with him and his family.

Kompany took time away from training to drop in on 74-year-old supporter David Burns, whose throat cancer has been deemed incurable by doctors.

The father-of-five had previously told family members that meeting some of the City squad would be a dream and, after an emotional plea to the club, it became a reality on Tuesday.
