Manchester City's pursuit of David Alaba has received a blow after Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge ruled out a possible transfer.
The Austria international recently signed a new deal with the German champions, committing his future to the club until 2021.
That has not stopped reports he is being lined up for a big-money move to City, with former Bayern boss Pep Guardiola a huge admirer of his talents.
Rummenigge, however, has now poured cold water on the speculation, insisting there is zero chance of Guardiola taking the 24-year-old to the Etihad.
