Former Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has broke his silence to question the decision to let superstar Lionel Messi leave last summer.
The former Everton and Southampton spoke out for the first-time since being sacked by the Catalan giants in October and revealed he was surprised to see his former club splash out £45million for Ferran Torres from Manchester City.
The big-money signing came after Koeman himself was forced to let several stars leave in the summer, including Messi, who joined PSG on a free transfer.

His departure was due to Barcelona's financial struggles that meant they could not afford to renew his contract.
