THE NOTEBOOK: Manchester City's Kalvin Phillips gets a rare run-out to give tireless Rodri a rest, while Erling Haaland continues to break records and Leicester look a shadow of their former selves

Manchester City cut Arsenal's lead at the top of the Premier League table to three points on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Leicester.

John Stones and Erling Haaland were on the scoresheet for City, as Kelechi Iheanacho's late goal for the visitors failed to inspire a comeback.

It came in Dean Smith's first game in charge of the Foxes having been appointed earlier this week.

Haaland's brace took him to 32, tying him with Mo Salah for the most goals in a 38-game Premier League season.
