Mohamed Salah thought he had scripted the final chapter of Liverpool's Premier League title fairytale with his goal against Wolves, only for his celebrations to turn to dejection after a fan in the crowd told him Manchester City were winning.
Salah, brought on as a substitute, thought to have won the title for the Reds after he put Liverpool into the lead at Anfield on the final day of the season, believing City were still being held to a draw by Aston Villa.
However, Ilkay Gundogan had completed a stunning comeback for Pep Guardiola's side at the Etihad just moments before after the champions had fallen 2-0 behind.
