'That's not just a penalty, it's close to being a red card': Gary Neville slams decision not to award Manchester City a penalty after Ashley Young blatantly fouls Sergio Aguero in heated derby

Gary Neville slammed the decision by referee Martin Atkinson to not award Manchester City a penalty during the late stages of their derby defeat to Manchester United.

City were trailing 3-2 with around 10 minutes left to play when Sergio Aguero was wiped out in the penalty area by Ashley Young.

Atkinson decided the challenge did not merit a penalty but replays showed Young had blatantly fouled City's Argentine striker. Neville could not believe the call and claimed not only should it have been a spot kick, Young could have been sent off.
