According to a report from Spanish news outlet El Desmarque, Man City are considering La Liga defenders Diego Carlos and Jose Gimenez ahead of the summer transfer window – with some Sky Blues becoming divided over the latter man in particular.
Gimenez, who has started 19 matches for Atletico Madrid this season domestically, averaging an impressive 3.5 clearances per 90 according to WhoScored, is just one of many defensive stars becoming linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium over the last week.
Indeed, since our successful appeal to CAS against a two-year UEFA Champions League ban, the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, David Alaba and Dayot Upamecano have been mentioned – with Gimenez and Carlos now entering the fray.
