Sheffield United will be trying to beat Manchester City in this Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final but here they couldn’t have been more grateful to them.
James McAtee, the talented 20-year-old midfielder on loan from the Etihad, scored a crucial winner that took them a giant stride towards the Premier League.
Just as the Blades looked set to offer Luton Town real hope in the automatic promotion race, McAtee, who’d been thrown on at half-time to provide much-needed energy, struck his fourth goal in six games.
Iliman Ndiaye picked him out in space inside the Bristol City box and the finish was cool and clinical.
