Saudi Pro League clubs have spent over £500million on new players over the last eight months, it has emerged.
Not only that, but they've spent close to £200million on poaching talent from the Premier League.
They're staggering numbers. To put it into perspective, the money this relatively obscure league has spent on Premier League players alone is similar to the cumulative spend of seven top-flight teams this summer, according to Transfermarkt.
Ever since Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund took control of four of the country's leading clubs, the fervour and ambition of their spending has exploded.
