Rio Ferdinand has heaped praise on Phil Foden for his performance in Manchester City's win over Newcastle.
After enduring a period outside of Pep Guardiola's starting XI, Foden has returned in style, scoring his fourth goal in his last three games in all competitions during the 2-0 win at the Etihad.
The 22-year-old opened the scoring after 15 minutes following a dazzling run, cutting inside before striking the ball past England teammate Nick Pope via a deflection off Sven Botman.
Speaking on BT Sport following the game, Ferdinand claimed the rejuvenated star's performance had answered any doubters.
