Never mind what went off at 3pm, there have been piercing alarms and vibrations of doom at West Ham all season. Maybe they were a little on the false side, too.
It is still too early to rule on that, of course. They might yet fall apart and David Moyes could go on to walk or be shoved at the end of his wonky season.
But for now they are looking OK and so is he. Comfortable even, if there is such a thing in this crocodile swamp of a league, particularly when three of their next four games feature Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.
