Report: Pep Guardiola wants ‘experienced’ player at Man City, club ‘willing to offer’ two-year deal

Even after losing Eric Garcia to Barcelona this summer, Manchester City aren’t short of defenders with John Stones, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and Nathan Ake on the books, but ESPN say Pep Guardiola wants Sergio Ramos to bring more ‘experience’ to the ranks.

City are reportedly ‘willing to offer’ the 35-year-old a two-year deal when his contract with Real Madrid expires today, but they will have some competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. Ramos is weighing up all offers before making a decision, as family considerations are said to be a factor.

The Spanish international joined Real from Sevilla in 2005 and went on to make 671 appearances in all competitions, scoring 101 goals with 40 assists.
