Manchester City’s pursuit of a left-back led to them looking at Nuno Mendes, David Alaba, Nicolas Taglifico and Robin Gosens over the summer, but AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez was also a transfer target.
The Premier League defending champions have been dealt a blow with the 23-year-old, however, as Corriere Dello Sport (h/t Football Italia) say he’s set to sign a new deal with Milan.
Hernandez’s existing deal had three years to run, but the Rossoneri want to reward him with an improved contract amid interest from City and Paris Saint-Germain.
