Manchester City recently tied John Stones down to a long-term deal and the Daily Mail say they’re not stopping there this summer. City will also ‘start discussions’ with Ederson over a new ‘long-term contract’ and are hopeful that he’ll put pen to paper on an extension.
The 27-year-old joined City from Benfica in 2017 and has gone on to make 192 appearances in all competitions, conceding 144 goals and keeping 95 clean sheets. Ederson has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and is indispensable to Pep Guardiola.
