Fernandinho’s future at Manchester City has been uncertain for the longest time as his contract was up in eight weeks and wasn’t likely to be renewed due to his advancing age.
Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola recently published a video on his YouTube account (h/t Sport Witness) confirming that Fernandinho won’t be getting a ‘contract renewal’, so this season will be his last at the Etihad Stadium.
The 36-year-old joined City from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013 and has gone on to make 347 appearances in all competitions, scoring 24 goals with 28 assists.
