Manchester City aren’t short of midfielders with Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Fernandinho, Rodri and Bernardo Silva, but El Nacional say they’re after another – Luka Modric.
The Premier League champions have a ‘golden plan’ to bring the 36-year-old back to England as Pep Guardiola is a big admirer. Modric spent four years at Tottenham Hotspur between 2008 and 2012 before joining Real Madrid.
He’s made 392 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring 28 goals with 62 assists. Modric has won four Champions League crowns, two La Liga titles and one Copa Del Rey, so he’s achieved everything possible in Spain.
