Manchester City want Harry Kane to replace Sergio Aguero this summer, but they also see Jack Grealish as an equally important signing, say ESPN. The problem is that Aston Villa want £100m for the 25-year-old which may price City out unless they can raise enough in transfer funds.
But with Villa recently agreeing terms with Norwich City over Emiliano Buendia, City are ‘encouraged’. They believe Grealish might be more attainable now a 24-year-old replacement is being brought in. But after Euro 2020, there is also the risk of Grealish’s stock rising even higher.
The England international made 27 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring seven goals with 12 assists.
