Eric Garcia is expected to leave Manchester City for Barcelona at the end of the season and Samuel Umtiti might be his replacement. Mundo Deportivo note that City and Zenit St Petersburg have been linked with a move for the Barca defender but have yet to make an offer.
Umtiti is reportedly ‘not in the plans’ of Ronald Koeman due to stiff competition from Clement Lenglet, Gerard Pique, Oscar Mingueza and Ronald Araujo, so he could be granted a transfer this summer. Where he’ll end up remains to be seen, however.
The 27-year-old joined Barca from Olympique Lyonnais in 2016 and has gone on to make 131 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals with one assist.
