Manchester City have been in talks over signing Kayky for the longest time and Fabrizio Romano of Sky Sports and the Guardian has finally revealed on Twitter that the 17-year-old will be coming to the Etihad Stadium in 2022.
Kayky is expected to sign a five-year deal with City and his club Fluminense will receive around €10m (£8.7m) plus add-ons and a percentage of any future sale. The Brazilian will join City’s youth team at the end of next season pending a work permit.
Romano noted that Kayky had interest from clubs in Spain, so City have done well to procure his signature and get a deal over the line long before he’ll be able to arrive at Manchester.
