Manchester City have been desperate to bring in Jack Grealish from Aston Villa and Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur but have been met with real resistance from both clubs this summer.
The Daily Mail say City have reached an agreement with Villa over Grealish, however, so they’re closing in on their second senior signing and their seventh overall after George Murray-Jones (Southend), Tomas Galvez (Watford), Kayky (Fluminense), Dario Sarmiento (Estudiantes), Kluiverth Aguilar (Alianza Lima), Scott Carson (Derby County).
Grealish is expected to complete a £100m move to City on Wednesday and is due in Manchester to sign his contract – the Sky Blues matched his release clause so Villa had no choice but to accept the offer.
