According to Fussball Transfers, Manchester City are closing in on Denis Zakaria and could procure his signature next summer. The 24-year-old is expected to be sold in 2021 as his deal will expire a year later and he’s yet to put pen to paper on a contract extension.
Fernandinho is expected to leave Man City when his deal expires at the end of the season and Fussball Transfers say the Sky Blues have positioned themselves to bring Zakaria to the Etihad Stadium as his potential replacement.
The £36m-rated Swiss international has made 100 appearances in all competitions for Borussia Monchengladbach since joining from BSC Young Boys in 2017, scoring eight goals with six assists.
