Paris Saint-Germain expect to find out on Tuesday if they have succeeded in hijacking Dani Alves' move to Manchester City on a free transfer.
City are still confident that Alves will rejoin his old Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola at the Etihad after negotiating an early release from his contract at Juventus.
But PSG have made a late bid to snatch the 34-year-old Brazil right-back whose move to City has been delayed while he married his partner Joana Sanz at the weekend after attending the wedding of his former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi.
The Brazilian full-back was expected to have his medical at City last week after agreeing terms on a two year contract following his departure from Juventus.
