PSG confirm Dani Alves capture as he tells Pep Guardiola: 'I am sorry... I have come here to be a champion'

At his unveiling as a Paris Saint-Germain player Dani Alves told the gathered press that he is 'sorry' if he has hurt Pep Guardiola but he moved to Paris to 'be a champion'.

The Brazilian veteran, 34, turned down Manchester City, signing a stunning £12million-a-year (£230,000 a week) contract at the Parc des Princes.

City boss Guardiola was left seething at Alves' decision to join the French side after terms had been thrashed out on a two-year deal at the Etihad.

Speaking at a press conference to announce his arrival in Paris, Alves revealed that the PSG 'project' convinced him to choose the club over City.
