Police have called off a probe into the shooting of an ex-Premier League footballer's home - with the suspect and weapon used at the crime scene left a mystery.
A year has passed since armed police were called to Fitzroy Simpson's home in Stratton in Swindon, Wiltshire on December, 13, 2022, following reports of a gunman firing at the property.
The ex-footballer played in the Premier League for Manchester City from 1992-1995 and represented Jamaica internationally before retiring in 2008.
A police helicopter and dog unit were deployed on the day to his home in Swindon, Wiltshire, but no suspect was located and the gunman appeared to have fled the scene.
