Phil Foden has signed a new six-year contract worth £30,000 a week with Manchester City.
The 18-year-old put pen to paper early on Monday afternoon, with City delighted at tying the academy product down until 2024.
Sportsmail can reveal that Foden has almost doubled his basic wages after impressing Pep Guardiola sufficiently enough to become a permanent member of the first-team squad.
The contract is heavily incentivised and City have inserted a raft of clauses and bonuses based on Foden's performances and achievements.
It is hoped those additional features - rather than a lofty basic wage - will serve as extra motivation to flourish under Guardiola.
