The win over Kieran McKenna's side leaves City in fourth spot after they leapfrogged Newcastle on goal difference.
And Foden heaped praise on his side's performance on both ends of the pitch.
He told Sky Sports: 'Probably the best (performance) this season, in terms of all-round play.
