Pep Guardiola's trusty Manchester City sidekick Juanma Lillo will provide significant experience and a new approach as their boss recovers from surgery

There's a new man in the Manchester City dugout - at least for their next two Premier League matches against Sheffield United and Fulham - as Juanma Lillo takes charge of the reigning English champions.

Pep Guardiola is recovering from emergency back surgery after flying to Barcelona to have a minor issue fixed and will be out of action until after the international break.

The Spaniard has tasked his assistant manager with taking over first-team responsibilities in his absence as Lillo attempts to keep City's 100 per cent winning start to the new season intact.
