Manchester City are waiting to see if David Silva will be available for the FA Cup third round tie against Burnley or take compassionate leave to be with his baby son Mateo.
Silva revealed this week that his absence over the Christmas period was due to the baby’s premature birth as he returned to Spain to be by the side of his partner Yessica Suarez Gonzalez.
City will give the midfielder all the time he needs to be with his family and Pep Guardiola confirmed that he remains a doubt to face Burnley as the Etihad.
