Pep Guardiola has pleaded with Manchester City supporters to 'celebrate' being in the Champions League final and not boo the tournament's pre-match anthem.
City fans have made a point of booing the famous Champions League anthem in recent years in a show of disapproval towards UEFA.
Antipathy towards the organisation stems from a series of events that began when Porto supporters racially abused then-City striker Mario Balotelli during the 2011-12 season. The Portuguese club were fined under £20,000 for the incident.
Further anger followed just two years later when the club were found to have breached Financial Fair Play rules in 2014.
