Manchester City striker Erling Haaland missed his side's trip to Luton Town today after suffering a 'bone stress reaction' as confirmed by Pep Guardiola.
The news comes as a blow to the City fans as they were hoping Haaland would help the club return to winning ways following a run of three draws and a defeat.
Haaland previously hadn't missed a single Premier League match this season, scoring 14 goals in the competition, but is nursing an injury after City's midweek defeat against Aston Villa.
Argentinian Julian Alvarez led the line for City at Kenilworth Road in the absence of Haaland, who is instead resting at home while recovering.
