Pep Guardiola confirms Aymeric Laporte is OUT until September with a with knee injury – ruling the Spanish defender out of Saturday's Community Shield and first month of the new Premier League season

Pep Guardiola confirmed that Manchester City will be without Aymeric Laporte until at least September.

Laporte was carrying a knee problem towards the end of last season’s run to a fourth Premier League title in five years.

The Spain international underwent surgery over the summer and did not travel on City’s tour of the United States. Guardiola’s side kick off their campaign against Liverpool in Saturday’s Community Shield.
