Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis looked on like a general as his team did battle with Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

The Greek sat in the stands at the City Ground glaring down as his players took on one of the Premier League's super powers.

When Forest won promotion via the play-offs in May, following a top-flight absence of 23 years, the shipping magnate promised Nottingham he would provide their team 'ammunition' to deliver success.

Despite a 2-0 defeat, Marinakis must have been satisfied with his men's performance, which showed plenty of promise, despite the subsequent 6-0 thrashing by Manchester City on Wednesday night.
