Nolito insists Manchester City didn't deserve to lose 4-0 in Barcelona despite Lionel Messi masterclass

Nolito reckons Manchester City were unfortunate to end up on the wrong end of a Barcelona battering but admitted it was Lionel Messi who had made the difference.

Former Barca winger Nolito was subbed off after 57 minutes for reserve keeper Willy Caballero after Claudio Bravo was red-carded, and watched from the bench as Messi completed his hat-trick and Neymar rounded off a 4-0 win for the hosts.

The Spaniard believes the scoreline was unfair on his team, and said things could have been different if they had made their early pressure count with a goal.

Nolito told the Manchester City website: 'We played well in the first half, we had our chances but in the second half we were unlucky.
