Lothar Matthaus wants to see his former club Bayern Munich sign Timo Werner over Leroy Sane.
The Bundesliga giants have already started looking at transfer plans ahead of the summer window and both the RB Leipzig striker and Manchester City winger are firmly on their radar.
Sane - who has been out with a long-term knee injury sustained at the start of this season - has been monitored by Bayern for some time, while Werner has become one of the hottest strikers in world football at Leipzig.
And German legend Matthaus - who played 410 times for Bayern over two spells - would prefer to see his former club sign Werner as he is 'more flexible' than compatriot Sane.
