Manchester United are confident that Ralf Rangnick’s relationship with Erling Haaland will help them sign the striker.
United have been long-term admirers of Haaland, but they face stiff competition from Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
However, Rangnick - who oversaw Haaland’s transfer from Molde to Salzburg two years ago - could boost the Red Devils' chances of acquiring the striker, according to The Mirror.
Before joining Dortmund in January 2020, Haaland and his agent Mino Raiola turned down the chance to reunite the player with his former Molde boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer at Old Trafford.
