Manchester City's Oleksandr Zinchenko is edging closer to a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, sources have told ESPN FC.
Wolves have been chasing Zinchenko for several weeks and they agreed a £16 million fee with City earlier this summer.
That offer has remained on the table from Wolves and the Premier League new boys are working to try and push through the deal before Thursday's transfer deadline.
Sources said Wolves have reopened talks with Zinchenko's representatives and are optimistic of striking a deal to bring the Ukrainian international to Molineux.
City are willing to sell Zinchenko despite the player impressing last season when he was used as a makeshift left-back after injuries to Benjamin Mendy and Fabian Delph.
