Kasper Schmeichel could be in line for a shock return to Manchester City should Pep Guardiola's No 1 Claudio Bravo fail to settle in England.
Leicester City's title-winning goalkeeper, renowned for being good with his feet, is on City's shortlist if the experiment to sign Bravo from Barcelona doesn't work out at the end of the season.
Spanish media reported last week that 33-year-old Bravo was keen to return to Barcelona even as second-choice to Marc-Andre ter Stegen after struggling with the language and lifestyle in Manchester.
Bravo has also been criticised for mistakes since being signed as a replacement for England No 1 Joe Hart who was controversially loaned out to Torino.
