Manchester City unveil their new kit for the 2017/18 Premier League season with manufacturers Nike claiming they are 'reinventing a classic'

Manchester City have unveiled their new home kit they will wear in the Premier League and Champions League in 2017/18.

The kit, manufactured by Nike, is claimed to be based around the kit for the 1967/68 strip, to mark the 50th anniversary of City winning the league title that season.

As well as the usual sky blue shirt and white short combination, the blue socks feature a reintroduced touch, with maroon bands.

The shirt itself has been changed this year to feature a round, T-shirt style neck, closer around the throat than the steeper neckline of the 2016/17 edition.
