Manchester City are reportedly increasingly confident they will be able to sign Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez in a deal worth £50 million.
According to The Mirror's David McDonnell, the Sky Blues will make an official approach for the Chilean after the summer's 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, and they can offer him a contract worth £300,000-a-week, putting them in "pole position" ahead of Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
Sanchez, 28, has only a year left remaining on his current Gunners deal, and the north London outfit have not been able to tie him to new terms.
