Manchester City are set for discussions with Jadon Sancho's representatives on Wednesday in a bid to thrash out the youngster's future.
The 17-year-old has not trained at the City Football Academy for over a month after being left out of Pep Guardiola's travelling pre-season tour party of America in July.
That decision was made by Guardiola after a contract stand-off which saw Sancho reject professional terms worth around £30,000 because he failed to see a way into the first team.
Sancho, who is still staying away, has a season left to run on his scholarship contract and City sources stressed that the impasse is resolvable, citing Tosin Adarabioyo's situation earlier in the year.
