Manchester City target Joshua Kimmich will not be sold by Bayern Munich, says Karl-Heinz Rummenigge

Bayern Munich will not sell Manchester City target Joshua Kimmich and the versatile defender is the successor to Philipp Lahm, according to club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Kimmich has endured a frustrating season at the Allianz Arena under manager Carlo Ancelotti, with several clubs including City keeping tabs on the 22-year-old availability.

The Germany international broke into the Bayern first team under Pep Guardiola during the 2015-16 campaign, and the Catalan would be interested in bringing him to the Etihad Stadium.

But Rummenigge has quashed any suggestions that Kimmich is about to leave the Bundesliga for the Premier League, claiming the player shall remain a major part of Bayern's long-term vision for success.
