Manchester City are close to signing Valencia winger Ferran Torres for a fee of around £20.86millon plus bonuses.
City have identified Torres, 20, as a replacement for Leroy Sane and are understood to have agreed personal terms with the Spain Under 21 international over a five-year contract.
The two clubs have yet to agree on a fee but are said to be close. Valencia wanted £40m for Torres and reports in Spain have suggested it would be £27.2m, but it’s understood that the initial fee will be substantially less.
Torres is in the final year of his contract at the Mestalla which has enabled City to sign one of Europe’s most promising young wingers for a relatively modest price.
