Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is weighing up a move for Athletic Bilbao centre back Aymeric Laporte.

Guardiola is a long-time admirer of Laporte and could finally land the French-born defender in January.

The Sun suggest City are willing to match Bilbao's £60million release clause in order to prise Laporte away from Spain.
