Manchester City 'offer Lionel Messi fresh terms worth £430MILLION over five years - £170M LESS than what was offered last summer' as Pep Guardiola oversees a new move to bring the Barcelona star to the Etihad stadium

Manchester City have reportedly offered Lionel Messi £170million less than what they were prepared to pay the Argentine when they tried to sign him last summer.

The Barcelona forward almost joined former boss Pep Guardiola at the Etihad in August before opting to stay at the Nou Camp but it is looking increasingly likely he will leave at the end of the season.

According to The Sun, City offered the 33-year-old a five-year deal worth £600m last summer but have now presented the Barca captain with a new package of £430m.
