Manchester City will have to be patient before Pep Guardiola starts winning titles, according to former Barcelona captain Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi, who now plays in Qatar for Al Sadd SC, was a keen viewer at the weekend as his former boss lost his top-of-the-table clash with Chelsea.
But the 36-year-old midfielder insists City and their new manager are destined for bigger and better things.
Xavi said: "If Pep had beaten Chelsea they would have been top of the league and people would have been saying how amazing he is doing to be successful so quickly.
