Pep Guardiola compared Gabriel Jesus to ‘a watermelon’ after the young striker helped Manchester City to taste a sweet 4-0 victory at West Ham.
Jesus, 19, became the first City player to score and assist on his full Premier League debut in a sparkling performance for the visitors at London Stadium.
City dominated West Ham from first to last to win in a round of matches where all their other top six rivals faltered.

Guardiola was full of praise for Jesus, who added the third goal after strikes from Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva before Yaya Toure’s penalty.
